Leah and I talked about doing this session at sunrise to get the beautiful morning light without tons of people around. We almost cancelled it because it was a very gray morning... thankfully we decided to go ahead with it because it worked out perfectly in our favor. I was stoked because they allowed me complete creative freedom and were up for anything.

Maia's Bat Mitzvah!

Maia's birthday party took place at the historic Biltmore Hotel. I loved all the details - the pink ribbons, black polka dots - which matched Maia's dresses. She wore a beautiful black dress and then changed into her stunning pink party dress. It was a packed night, with dancing, a candle lighting ceremony, father-daughter dance, the hora, more crazy dancing, and finally balloons dropping at midnight and the cutting of the cake.
